Vigor Events and Ooredoo Business have proudly implemented the first Internet of Things Conference & Expo in Kuwait. The conference was supported and sponsored by The Central Agency For Information Technology (CAIT) in association with IOT Asia. It took place on the 19th – 21st of December 2017 at the Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel, Badriah Ballroom.
The Conference was designed with the objective to introduce emerging technological options, platforms and case studies of IoT implementation in home and city automation (smart homes and cities), Industrial Internet, Govt., Mobile Cellular and other areas.
This conference was the first dedicated platform in Kuwait to address the enormous potential of the IoT revolution, the 1st edition of IoT Kuwait 2017 is a transformational platform for addressing challenges and identifying real opportunities within the IoT landscape.
16 professional IoT experts and practitioners spoke about regional related and trending topics in the IoT industry. IoT Kuwait 2017 provided insights for promising and much needed steps to be taken globally and in Kuwait specifically to address IoT related issues and topics.
Top companies in the field from all the sectors in Kuwait, especially the governmental sector, had attended the conference and expo as CAIT invited all the ministries, authorities and agencies. The Telecom sector also had a strong presence represented by Ooredoo Business, one of the leading telecom companies in the region and the event’s lead partner.
Local and International companies enthusiastically took part in the 2-day exhibition, showcasing their IoT solutions and presenting their insights for a promising shift in the industry.
3 workshops followed the conference on the 3rd day negotiated 3 pivotal topics in the industry of IoT; Big Data, Innovative IoT and IoT for SMEs which were presented by Oracle, Shift IN and 2 IoT entrepreneurs “Mohammed AlRajaan & Khalifa AlJaziri”, and they were attended by 60+ attendees.
The Conference & Expo was organized by Vigor Events & co-organized by Al Gas Events Co, with association of Iot Asia and with the official support of the International Advertising Association (IAA- Kuwait Chapter).
